Description: There is a large parking lot that is basically across the street from the French Quarter that allows RVs to stay overnight for up to 24 hours. The cost is $50 per 24 hours and it is completely dry camping, meaning there aren’t any hookups available. However, you are staying right in the middle of everything and won’t have to pay any additional parking or taxi fees.
It’s a super convenient location for visiting New Orleans. The parking lot is operated by the Park First company, so if you need additional details or to confirm availability, they should be able to help.
French Quarter RV Resort
Distance to the French Quarter: 0.6 miles
Address: 500 N Claiborne Ave, New Orleans, LA 70112
Description: The French Quarter RV Resort is the closet RV park or campground that you’ll find to the French Quarter. It’s within a few blocks of the action, so is walking distance or a very short taxi ride away. You’ll pay for that luxury, however, as it’s pricey and no discounts are available. As of January, 2019, rates are $105/night and increase to $250/night during Mardi Gras. But you’ll be in the middle of it all and won’t need to pay for parking in downtown New Orleans.
This New Orleans RV park has 54 paved sites with full hookups for 20/30/50 amp electrical connections. There’s also a clubhouse, bathrooms, laundry facilities, pool, and additional amenities.
Riverboat Travel Park
Distance to the French Quarter: 5.4 miles

Description: The Riverboat Travel Park is located in an industrial type area of New Orleans. It features 66 paved and gravel RV sites with full 20/30/50 amp hookups. There are restrooms with shower facilities as well as laundry facilities. The area is secured with a fence and security gate.
Pontchartrain Landing

Description: Pontchartrain Landing is a waterfront resort in New Orleans on the corner of the Intercoastal Navigational Canal and Lake Pontchartrain. It includes an RV park with 125 RV sites. This New Orleans RV park includes RV sites large enough to accommodate even the largest motorhomes.
